As many of you know, my husband Branden suffered a massive heart attack on September 13, 2024 while out of town on a work conference. He was alone in his hotel room when he suffered a widowmaker heart attack and went into cardiac arrest. Thanks to a last minute 911 call that he made and the amazing work of the first responders and medical staff, his life was saved. 

We know how incredibly lucky our family is. This type of medical emergency has a very high mortality rate, and we're beyond grateful he has survived and made a full recovery. 

Thankfully, he received care quickly and was able to fly home from Dallas a few days later. Branden has stayed active and continues to share his story, which we hope has inspired others to take their health more seriously, schedule checkups, and learn how to respond to an emergancy. 

This will be our familes second year participating in the walk and raising money for the American Heart Association.
