9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. 

 

About a year ago, our team was missing one of our doctors, Steven Sponenberg, as he awaited a heart transplant match after experiencing serious heart failure. Today, we continue to celebrate with him on one year of his post-transplant success and full time return to our team! Heart issues and specifically - cardiac  arrests - happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death. 

 

We are excited this year to unite, take action, and help save lives. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone in our community.
