When I think about why this matters to me, it comes down to women’s health—and specifically heart health.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, yet so many women don’t realize they’re at risk. Even more concerning, the symptoms can look different than what we typically associate with a heart attack. That means too many women second-guess themselves, wait too long, or aren’t taken seriously when they do speak up.
My ‘why’ is about changing that narrative. I want women to feel informed, confident, and empowered to advocate for their own health—to trust their instincts and know that their concerns matter.
By supporting the American Heart Association and participating in this walk, we’re helping fund critical research, education, and outreach so more women can recognize the signs and get the care they need—when it matters most.
