I am walking in honor of my grandson, Maverick Allen. 

From the moment he arrived, Maverick showed us what true strength looks like. Born with a congenital heart defect (CHD), he faced challenges that no baby should ever have to face. Yet every day, he met the world with a warrior’s spirit. Though he was only eight months old, his presence was big enough to fill every room, every heart, and every moment with strength and love.

 

Maverick reminded us that even the smallest fighters can leave the largest impact.
