2026 Inland Empire Heart & Stroke Walk
Walking on Sunshine
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can help to change this. I personally suffer from extreme Congestive Heart Failure and most recently was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension, and 35% ejection due to a right side faulty valve and I am working on being a Survivor. Unfortunately a few people I know, including my Parents, were not so lucky.
I know because of my Diabetes, I also suffer from stage 5 peripheral neuropathy and need the use of a cane and walker. This is a 3 mile walk, I know with my bad heart and legs, I WILL need my walker and there is always a chance that I may not complete it, but, as anyone can attest to I am a very stubborn man and God willing, I will give it my best.
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
I am putting a challenge out there, and am requesting help from the Knights of Columbus, Chino and Ontario area Councils. Districts. Assemblies and Chapters, and I am also requesting / Challenging as many friends and family and Parishes in Chino. Chino Hiils and Ontario that I can encourage to sign up and walk with me for this awesome cause!
Brothers and Sisters, It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Want to walk to Save Lives. Help me /us reach my / our goal. Like they say, many hands make the task easier. Thank you for your time, considerations and donation! God Bless!
