As the Director for the West Alabama Heart Walk, I see every day what’s possible when a community comes together to save lives.

Heart disease and stroke impact families across West Alabama. At home, at work, and in everyday moments. Too often, cardiac emergencies happen without warning.

Here’s the reality: 9 out of 10 people who experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital do not survive. In many cases, lifesaving CPR wasn’t performed and that’s something we can change.

Every dollar raised supports lifesaving research, CPR education, and a more prepared community.
