Heart disease has impacted my family in the most personal way.

In 2017, we lost my great aunt, Hala, during heart surgery. In 2019, we lost my Gido - my grandfather - to Congestive Heart Failure. Losing them broke our hearts and changed our family forever.

Heart disease and stroke affect millions of families every single day. For us, it's not just a statistic - it's our story.

I am walking in their honor, and for the many other members of my family who continue to face heart-related conditions. I'm walking for every family who has sat in a hospital waiting room, for every life cut short too soon, and for the people still fighting.

We decided years ago that we wanted to turn our grief into purpose. This fundraiser is our way of making a difference - to support research, prevention, and treatment so that fewer families have to experience the pain that we did.
