Team Hailie,
Our child has a congenital heart condition that required open-heart surgery to close a PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus) along with repair to the mitral valve. Simply put, our baby’s heart was working much harder than it should just to do the basic things we all take for granted breathing, feeding, growing, and resting. Her heart tried its best, but it needed help. Most babies at her age were learning to sit and grab at shiny things. Hailie was learning something harder: how to be brave.
This journey opened our eyes to how many families walk a similar path how many babies are born with congenital heart defects and need lifesaving care. That’s why we’re participating in the Heart Walk and raising awareness and funds for heart health. Donations help support research, education, and the families who are still waiting for their miracles.
Our baby’s heart has already been through so much, but it keeps beating stronger every day. And we still have a recovery road ahead of us. By supporting this cause, you’re helping give other children the same chance at life, love, and a healthy future.
