This is the core team that has helped keep me alive through more than 25 years of heart disease.  IT HAS BEEN THROUGH their support and critical actions that HAVE brought me to this point, a two-year heart transplant survivor.  THANKS TO My medical team which numbers in the hundreds, THEY are the true heroes in my story. It is due to their knowledge, talent, and research, often funded by the American Heart Association, that brought us confidence and life over the years. I hope you will join my Heart Walk team, so more projects can be funded in the battle against heart disease.  The immunosuppressants, the ANTIrejection drugs, are merely adequate. Their side effects are often as devastating as the disease itself.  We are all grateful for the healing we have had.  But extension of life, without quality of life, is a poor compromise.  The answers are out there, more research is the key.
