Why I Walk for Heart Health: In honor of Walter D Emmons - My Granddad
Heart disease has been part of my family's story for generations. My Granddad had his first heart attack in his 30s and went on to endure multiple heart attacks, two bypass surgeries, and several stent procedures throughout his life.
Because of the incredible advancements in cardiovascular medicine and the care he received, we were given the gift of years we otherwise may not have had. Those extra moments, memories, and milestones with him are gifts I will always treasure.
