Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,

 

I am walking in the 2026 AHA Heart Walk in honor of my Mother, my Aunt and my Brother-In-Law. All 3 passed away during the Spring of 2023 due to heart issues.

 

Did you know that 9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die? In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.

 

The American Heart Association funds more cardiovascular and stroke research than any U.S. organization except the federal government. In all, the AHA spends nearly 80 cents of every dollar on research, education and community outreach. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research for new treatments and more lifesaving moments for everyone.
