I'll be walking in the AHA Heart Walk not just to raise funds, but to honor to very special people, my son Brady and my Dad Bernie.
Brady's story is one of courage, resilience, and love. From the moment his heart was tested, he showed all of us what true strength looks like. Watching him fight through challenges most of us could never imagine has changed the way I see life, health, and hope. Every heartbeat he's fought for reminds me why this cause matters so deeply.
I also walk for my Dad, Bernie, who passed away this June due to heart complications and other ailments. His passing was a painful reminder of how precious and fragile life is, and how important it is that we continue to support the fight for heart health, research, and prevention.
I walk for Brady, whose passion for life reminds me to never give up, and for my Dad, whose memory fuels my purpose. This walk is more than just a few miles, it's a promise to keep fighting, to keep believing, and to help ensure that every heart gets the chance to keep beating strong.
Thank you Brady and Dad for giving me even more purpose in life to fight for heart health.
