Why I’m Walking
On November 16, 2020, my family’s life changed forever.
My father was diagnosed with AFib and suffered a stroke. Thankfully, he survived, but the stroke left him with limited mobility that he will have to live with for the rest of his life.
Watching someone you love experience the lasting effects of a stroke changes the way you think about heart health. It’s a reminder that heart disease and stroke aren’t just statistics—they affect real people, real families, and the lives we share together.
That’s why I’m proud to be participating in the American Heart Association Heart Walk on Saturday, November 7, 2026, with the Blake Real Estate team, Blake’s Heart & Soles.
We’ll be walking together at the National Mall in Washington, DC, to raise awareness and support the American Heart Association’s work in heart disease and stroke research, education, prevention, and lifesaving programs.
I’m walking for my dad. I’m walking for my family. And I’m walking for all of the families whose lives have been changed by heart disease or stroke.
Every step matters, and every donation helps.
If you’re able, I would be incredibly grateful for your support. Whether you donate, join me for the walk, or simply share my story, you’re helping make a difference.
Thank you for supporting me and this very personal cause.
