Hey! My name is Natasha Howard im 51 years old and I suffered a heart attack just out all of a sudden, I will say I had warning, I started not feeling well, my heart started beating very rapidly and I started feeling nauseous and at that point my husband said let's go to the emergency room. When I got there I told them what was going on with me, they took me back did a Ekg and blood work and sat me back out in the lobby where I sat there for over 2 hours and at that point my pain went away so I left, yes I did tell one of the workers on duty. This was Friday March 20th, Saturday went by still no pain on Sunday I noticed that the hospital was trying to call my husband and I but i/we couldn't call back because it's a number you really couldn't call back on so Monday morning on March 23rd the hospital got ahold of me at work and told me to come back, which I wasn't because I had a funeral to go to on that Tuesday but my enter self said GO so I did, when I tell you the lord got me through all I can say is Amen thank you Jesus.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don't survive. Most of the time, it's because no one nearby performed CPR. But together, we can change that.
Extraordinary things happen when people take action. A small step. A simple skill. A lifesaving moment. Heart Walk brings communities together to create health and hope for every heartbeat.
