Hi, I'm Reagan.
When I was born, my heart was a little different. I was born with Congenital Heart Disease. Specifically a large VSD between two chambers of my heart, which means there was a tiny hole where there shouldn't be one.
I didn't understand it, but my mom and dad did. They held me close, asked big questions, and trusted some very special doctors to take care of me.
One day, those doctors fixed my heart. It was a very big surgery for a small 5 month old. They made a line down my chest, patched the imperfections, and most importantly... they made my heart stronger.
I don't remember that day, but my family does.
They remember the waiting, the prayers, and the moment they got to hold me again.
Now, I get to grow, laugh, and live a life they once had to hope for!
My scar is small, but it tells a big story.
A story of strength, love, and a healthy future.
A story of strength, love, and a healthy future.
And while my heart is strong today, there are still so many little hearts that need help.
That's why my family walks.
They walk for babies like me.
They walk for families still in the waiting.
They walk so more little hearts can be fixed, just like mine.
They walk for families still in the waiting.
They walk so more little hearts can be fixed, just like mine.
If you see us, we're Team Reagan.
And if you choose to support us, you're helping give more children the chance to grow up, just like I get to.
Thank you for your help!
Love,
Reagan
