This March marked the 10-year anniversary of my quintuple bypass. It’s hard to believe it has been that long. I remain incredibly grateful to my family and friends for all the love and support they gave me then—and continue to give me today. It’s also a powerful reminder of why the fight against heart disease means so much to me personally.
Heart disease continues to touch our Giants family and friends. Our dear friend Paul Hodges continues to heal, and we’re optimistic that he’ll be walking alongside our Giants team this year.
We’ll also be joined by our good friend John Feeley, familiar to many from NBC Sports, KTVU and KNBR. John faced heart issues earlier this year and, fortunately, recovered quickly after receiving three stents.
And as always, we’ll be thinking of Hall of Famer, Orlando Cepeda, who was such an avid and enthusiastic supporter of our Giants Heart Walk Team. His spirit and support remain very much a part of our team.
Our goal this year is to raise $50,000, and every donation—no matter the size—brings us one step closer. More importantly, every gift helps the American Heart Association continue its lifesaving work in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
