We walk for our son, Luke, who was born with a congenital heart defect called Transposition of the Great Arteries. At just 3 days old, Luke underwent open-heart surgery — a moment that changed our lives forever. Thanks to the incredible skill and compassion of the doctors and nurses who cared for him, Luke not only survived — he’s now a thriving, energetic 8-year-old who fills our days with joy.

We are forever grateful. But we know that not every family gets the same outcome. That’s why we walk — to fund lifesaving research, support families facing heart disease and stroke, and help build a future where stories like Luke’s are the norm, not the exception.
