This September, my son Jeremy would have celebrated his 30th birthday. There are so many "what ifs," but instead, sudden cardiac arrest took him at just 22 years old while he was laughing around the kitchen table with family.

No parent should ever have to bury their child. Jeremy was full of life and had overcome so much to become a kind, compassionate man who was loved by everyone who knew him.

I walk in his honor-to celebrate his life, to say his name, and to help raise awareness and funds so other families may be spared this kind of loss.
