My life changed at the end of May, 2022 when I experienced a cardiac arrest. That could have been the end of my story, but my wife Marianne knew CPR as taught by the American Heart Association. She kept me alive until EMTs arrived. I ended up spending a month in North Kansas City hospital, and it was a long road back.
I've participated in the American Heart Association Kansas City Heart & Stroke Walk every year since then, INCLUDING in October 2022 as part of my recovery! I'm happy to do so, and to raise some money for them so that they can continue their excellent work funding and training ordinary citizens in CPR, as well as all the money they pour into research to help those who have heart attacks and strokes. They also do much education for prevention and recovery from these events.
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
