This year I walk as a survivor.
For many years, I’ve walked in the Tarrant Heart Walk to honor the friends and family whose lives were saved by advances in heart care. I never imagined that one day I’d be walking for myself. In December 2025, I had a heart attack that changed everything. Thanks to the incredible medical team at Harris Methodist and the unwavering support of my family and friends, I made it through emergency triple‑bypass surgery — a surgery that truly saved my life.
This year, I walk as a survivor. I walk with gratitude, with purpose, and with the hope that sharing my story reminds others that heart disease can affect anyone. If you’re able, I’m asking for your support. Your donation helps fund the research, education, and care that save lives — including mine.
