We all know someone whose life has been touched by heart disease or stroke. For me, this cause is deeply personal. It’s not only the patients I care for at UCLA—it’s my own family, especially my parents.
I’ve been walking in the AHA Heart Walk for more than 25 years, ever since my dad passed away far too young. What started as a way to honor his memory has become a tradition that means so much to me. Every year, I lace up my sneakers, think of my dad, and walk with hope for healthier, longer lives for all of us. ð
I’m continually amazed by the work the American Heart Association supports—from groundbreaking research and innovative medical technology to teaching lifesaving CPR and bringing health education into our communities. This is how real change happens!
And the best part? We don’t walk alone! When our steps join those of a million Heart Walk Heroes across the country, we become a pretty powerful force for good.
So…will you be a Heart Walk Hero with me?
Every donation, big or small, helps fund research and programs that save lives, keep hearts beating, and give families more precious time together.
Have a heart. Help me reach my goal. And let’s walk our way toward a healthier future—one step at a time!
Thank you for helping me keep my dad’s memory walking with me after all these years.
