Heart disease runs on both sides of my family.
Two years ago my cousin had a heart attack at the age of 49. The next day her sister had a heart attack. Earlier this year I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation which upset my risk for stroke.
The American Heart Association funds cardiovascular medical research, the kind of research that helped create the life saving measures that saved my cousins and one day may save me.
To show support for the AHA efforts and my cousins as survivors, I am walking the 2026 Heart Walk in San Diego with my cousin.
If you would like to make a donation to the American Heart Association for all they do, now is a great time. Any amount helps our team meet (or beat) our goal. Thank you.
