I walk for heart disease due to an extensive family history of heart disease but mostly for my mother.  My mother had heart disease.  She had an emergent CABGX3 in 2014.  She made a miraculous recovery from a procedure where she coded while in the OR.  She was ambulatory and eating well when downgraded from ICU. She did well for years.  Worked full time as an IT specialist with Comcast until she retired.  She expierenced another STEMI in May 2019.  Had another miraculous recovery from a LAD blockage.  My mother transitioned on Novemeber 2019 after a cardiac arrest.  Everything I do is for her and show the world the impact she had on people.  We did not have a going home service for my mom.  Instead, on her actual birthday of October 9th, 2020, my family participated in the Heart Walk in remeberence of her.
