Help me be a Heart Walk Hero!
Last year, I lost my father after he spent many years living with heart disease. He faced it with more strength than most people ever have to summon. I like to think all those extra years were his way of stubbornly refusing to let it win for as long as possible.
That's why I continue to raise funds for the American Heart Association. The AHA not only funds groundbreaking research into heart disease and cardiac arrest but also supports programs that train everyday people to perform CPR — skills that can mean the difference between life and death.
As someone who works in cardiac surgery, I see every day how much this research and training matters. I've watched families get more time together because of the progress this field has made, and I know there's still more work to do.
By donating, you're helping honor my father's memory while also giving other families more of what he gave ours: time. Together, we can make a difference.
