This year, I’m walking for something that has shaped my entire life.
At just 15 years old, I’ve spent more time in hospitals, operating rooms, and doctors' offices than most people will in a lifetime. I was born with a rare congenital heart defect and have undergone multiple procedures and surgeries, including a nine-hour open-heart surgery last summer.
Through it all, I decided I didn’t want my story to be just about surviving. I wanted to do something with it.
Today, I use my voice to advocate for heart health, raise awareness about congenital heart disease, and help educate others about CPR and AEDs.
That’s why I’m walking in the American Heart Association Heart Walk, and I’m asking for your support.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps fund lifesaving research, education, and programs that give heart patients and families hope for the future.
I’ve been given more than one second chance at life. Now, I’m determined to use mine to help others.
Thank you for supporting me and a cause that means so much to my heart.
