I walk and donate for my SURVIVOR Olivia! Olivia was born with a congenital birth defect call PDA( patent ductus arteriosus) We had an awesome pediatrician, Dr. Yeh who caught this at her 5week check up and she reacted instantly. We knew little then what we were about to encounter. We were admitted to the cardiac floor at Dupont Hospital and Olivia had to have surgery to repair a duct in her heart. She was just 5 weeks old and she was my first child. Today her and I can live to tell her story and walk for an even bigger purpose. We were very fortunate for her to only have one heart surgery, but not every story goes this way. We encountered other set backs and minor complications as well, but she surpassed all of it!
