Since coming aboard as Senior Event Planning Director for the American Heart Association in Philadelphia one year ago, I have had the privilege of helping bring our mission to life through events across the region. That work has given me an even deeper appreciation for the people who make it possible, from volunteers and donors to survivors, caregivers, sponsors, and community leaders.

Like many families, mine has been touched by heart-related health challenges. Because of that, the mission of the American Heart Association is more than just my profession. It's a cause that feels personal.

The Philadelphia Heart Walk is an opportunity to see that mission in action. Every year, thousands of people come together to support research, education, advocacy, and programs that help people live longer, healthier lives.
