Having been diagnosed with congenital heart disease at a later age I realized there were signs of my heart disease I ignored or was told it was anxiety and because of my age, my Drs also ignored. Then when I was 39 the truth came to light and I starting having major heart issues all explained away by misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis. Then, I found one Dr who listened to me and gave me the tests needed and I was able to have the necessary surgery to save my life. I always adcovate and say age is NOT the deciding factor, heart disease can happen at any age, to anyone.

I walk for my family. I walk for my grandkids. I do not want anyone else to be misdiagnosed or dismissed when it comes to chest pain or any other heart disease symptom. This is my WHY and I will walk to raise awareness and funds for research or anything else that may help a person in the future!
