9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. Most of the time, it’s because no one nearby performed CPR. But together, we can change that.

Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone.  

I have undergone three open heart surgeries in my life.  At 32 years old, I was told I had a tumor in my heart and needed open heart surgery.  Five years later, another one.  After many tests in 2012, I was told I needed heart and liver surgery.  I never would have survived without God, my family, friends, modern medicine and the talented doctors and nurses who were beside me.  

I am so grateful to be alive each and every day to enjoy my daughters, three grandchildren, my family, friends and all the blessings God has given me.  My life has been difficult at times, but I am THANKFUL, GRATEFUL AND TRULY BLESSED!  Every day is a special gift!
