In 2022 I had a diverticulitis attack that sent me to the ER. They performed a scan and in doing so it was discovered I had an ascending aortic aneurysm. While it wasn't yet at a dangerous level they notified my primary care to monitor it. The following year I was sent in for an annual scan for monitoring and it had grown to the point of needing replair. In October of 2023 I had open heart surgery to repair this aneurysm and after successfully recovering I have never looked back! I'm extremely grateful for that diverticulitis attack otherwise it may have never been discovered until it was too late.

This heart walk obviously resonates with me due to this journey and the very least I can do is bring awareness to the importance of the great work the American Heart Association provides through research, support and more!

I hope you'll consider supporting them and donate to my page. I'm proud to be part of the Bank of America Merrill Heart Walk team again and look forward to walking with my colleagues for a fun and meaningful event!
