Walking in Memory of My Mom, Regina Thomas ♥
I walk in memory and honor of my mom, Regina Thomas, who lost her life to heart disease nearly 18 years ago.
Not a day goes by that I don’t wish she were still here—to see the person I’ve become, to share in the moments of my life, and most importantly, to know her granddaughter. My daughter is growing up without the opportunity to know my mom, to hear her voice, feel her hugs, or make memories with the woman who means so much to me. That is a loss that words can never truly explain.
I participate in the American Heart Walk because I want my mom’s story to mean something beyond the years we were given together. I walk for her, but I also walk for the mothers, daughters, grandmothers, fathers, sons, and families who are affected by heart disease every day.
My hope is that through awareness, education, support, and continued research, more people will have access to the care they need—and more families will have the chance to keep the people they love.
This is why I’m asking you to please support my walk with a donation. Your contribution—no matter the amount—can help support lifesaving research, education, prevention, and resources for people affected by heart disease. $5, $10, $25, or whatever you’re able to give can make a difference.
I can’t change what happened to my mom. But I can walk in her memory, raise awareness in her honor, and help support a future where fewer children have to grow up without their moms and fewer grandchildren have to wonder what it would have been like to know their grandmothers.
For my mom, Regina. For my daughter. For every family touched by heart disease. ♥
Thank you for supporting me and helping me walk in my mom’s memory. Every donation, every share, and every bit of support helps keep her memory alive and helps me walk toward a future where fewer families experience this kind of loss.
