2026 First Coast Heart Walk
Finleys Special Heart
In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. Most of the time, it’s because no one nearby performed CPR. But together, we can change that.
Extraordinary things happen when people take action. A small step. A simple skill. A lifesaving moment. Heart Walk brings communities together to create health and hope for every heartbeat. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone.
Extraordinary starts with YOU.
This October, our family is lacing up our sneakers and hitting the pavement for something deeply personal - the 2026 First Coast Heart Walk with the American Heart Association. And leading the charge?
Finley. Our brave, resilient, heart warrior.
At just 2 days old, Finley was diagnosed with a Small Restrictive Supracristal Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). In August 2021, he underwent open-heart surgery to repair the VSD on his aortic valve. Since then, he's shown us what true courage looks like - facing recovery with strength, spirit, and that signature Finley smile.
We walk not just for Finley, but for his Aunt Jaime, who passed away in 2020 due to heart failure, and for the millions of families impacted by heart disease and strokeevery year. Because we believe that every step matters - and every heartbeat is worth fighting for.
For the third year in a row, Finley has his own team: Finley's Special Heart Team - and he's not only raising funds, he's training for the full 3-mile walk!
"I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives!!"
So how can you help?
