We have all heard the saying, “Together Everyone Achieves More,” and when you take the first letter of each word, it spells TEAM. There is no better example of this than the care we provide to our patients every day.

In pediatric and congenital cardiology, we care for one of the most diverse patient populations in healthcare—from fetal life through adulthood and even into the senior years. This unique journey requires a true team-based approach, where multiple healthcare professionals work together to meet the medical, emotional, and social needs of our patients and their families.

Our philosophy is simple: it is not “my patient,” it is “our patient.” We surround every patient and family with a circle of care, making them the center of everything we do.

When we function as a team, we improve patient safety, achieve better outcomes, and enhance the overall well-being of those we serve. We share a common goal, communicate openly and respectfully, trust one another, and recognize the vital role each team member plays.
