27 years ago, when I was two years old, my father, Christopher DeSimone, died from sudden cardiac arrest. There's no way to know if anything could have helped him, but the medical field has made so many advancements since then. I'm participating in the Heart Walk so that more research and care can be put into making sure no other family has to feel the same loss we do. The more people who know the signs, the more people who know CPR, the more people can make a difference. In honor of losing my father 27 years ago, my fundraising goal is $2,700.
