For me, the Heart Walk is personal.

I walk for my sister, whose heart transplant journey has allowed me to witness the incredible gift of a second chance at life. I’ve seen the challenges, the prayers, the strength, and the precious moments made possible because of that second chance.

I also walk for every person and every family impacted by heart disease—those still fighting, those who have overcome, those waiting for their second chance, and those we carry in our hearts.

As a cardiac nurse, I’ve spent my career caring for people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I’ve seen firsthand the impact heart disease can have, and it has strengthened my commitment to helping others live healthier, stronger, longer lives.

Impacting lives isn’t just what I do—it’s part of my purpose.

Every step I take represents a story. My sister’s story. My patients’ stories. Our families’ stories. And the stories of millions of people affected by heart disease.

This is why I walk.
