May 16, 2026 marks SIX YEARS since we lost Chris to a heart attack.
Six years without his stories, his laugh, his presence, and the way he showed up for all of us…as a husband, a dad, a brother, an uncle, and a friend.
For the past four years, I’ve walked with the American Heart Association’s Triangle Heart Walk in his honor. This year, I’ve taken on an even deeper commitment as the Campaign Chair for the Triangle Heart Walk, and I’ve set a personal goal to raise more money than ever before in his name. Each year is meaningful, but this one feels especially personal. Six years is a milestone I can’t ignore, and it’s pushing me to do more.
If you’re able, I’m asking you to join me in remembering Chris in a simple but powerful way: consider making a donation with a “6” in it: $6, $60, $600, $1,006…whatever feels right for you. That number represents the years we’ve missed him and the urgency to fight heart disease so fewer families have to experience this kind of loss.
Your support, whether through a donation, sharing this post, or walking alongside us means more than I can put into words.
If you’d like to join our team for the walk, send me a message and I’ll help you get registered.
Thank you for remembering Chris, and for helping us turn loss into purpose.
