In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
A few months ago a got a call from a close friend to pick her up and drive to the hospital. Her partner, a close, health friend of mine had a heart attack while driving. No warning. One minute he was on the road, the next his heart stopped.
By every statistic, he shouldn't have made it.
But someone nearby knew what to do. They stepped in, started CPR, and kept him alive until help arrived. That one person, with that one skill, gave my friend a chance to come home.
We all know someone who has been impacted by heart disease or stroke. We all know that empty feeling of losing someone too soon, or almost losing someone. I don't want to feel helpless the next time it happens - and I don't want you to either.
This is why I'm fundraising for the American Heart Association. Your donation helps put CPR training in more hands, funds life-saving research, and ensures more people get that second chance my friend got. It funds the science, the education, and the programs that turn bystanders into lifesavers.
If you can give, please give. If you can share, please share. And if you haven't learned CPR - let this be the nudge.
Thank you,
Edgar Gonzalez
