We are walking in honor of our beautiful daughter, Sophia Juliette.

Sophia was deeply loved and prayed for long before we ever got to hold her. During our pregnancy, we learned that she had a complex congenital heart defect that would require life-saving heart surgery shortly after birth. Although we ultimately lost our precious daughter, her short life changed our hearts forever.

We are participating in the Heart Walk to honor Sophia, keep her memory alive, and support the work being done to help babies and families facing congenital heart conditions.

Sophia will always be our daughter, our answered prayer, and a part of our family. Every step we take is for her.

We hope our story inspires others to support heart research, raise awareness, and remember that behind every statistic is a baby, a family, and a whole lot of love.
