On January 23, 2023, we lost my brother Hank. He was waiting for a new heart when he passed. That fall I had open heart surgery to replace my mitral valve and was diagnosed with Advanced Heart Failure that winter. The following year I was placed on the transplant list. I have come to realize so many have their own heart stories.
