2026 Central PA Heart Walk
Team Mason
Hi! My name is Mason and I am 12 years old! I am in 7th grade at Mount Nittany Middle School. I would be so grateful if you are able to make a donation to Team Mason for the heart walk this year. If you don't know my story already here it is! I was born with Truncus Arteriosus and had my first open heart surgery at 7 days old to repair my broken heart. Since then I have had 2 more surgeries and 3 heart catheterization procedures to repair my defect. I had my most recent surgery the summer after 3rd grade and I am living my best life. The hope is with my adult size conduit that Dr. Morel put in during the last surgery that it will be a very long time before I need another open heart surgery. And just maybe with research, funded by your donations to the American Heart Association, my next repair can be done in the Cath lab instead of with open heart. So I would like to thank you from the bottom of my very special heart if you are able to donate. Your donations give kids, just like me a fighting chance â¤ï¸
In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don't survive. Most of the time, it's because no one nearby performed CPR. But together, we can change that.
Extraordinary things happen when people take action. A small step. A simple skill. A lifesaving moment. Heart Walk brings communities together to create health and hope for every heartbeat. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone.
Extraordinary starts with YOU. Join our team today or support by donating towards our fundraising goal.
