As a nurse, I’ve seen the reality of sudden cardiac events and the difference rapid intervention can make.

As an educator, my job is to shape the next generation of nurses. Coaching ECC Nursing’s Pulse Patrol is an extension of what I teach in the classroom. I want my students to understand early in their careers that advocacy doesn't stop at the hospital doors. Real prevention and lifesaving education start right in our community.

And as a family member, this cause is personal. Heart issues run deep in my own family, giving me a personal reminder of what's at stake every time I look at a cardiac rhythm strip or teach a student how care for their patients.

I’m walking to support the American Heart Association because funding research, expanding CPR training, and driving cardiovascular education directly changes outcomes for the people we love and the patients we serve.
