My "why" is simple: I was given a second chance.
In 2009, I suffered a heart attack that changed my life. What followed was a journey of answers, perspective, and gratitude that I carry with me every day.
That experience taught me that heart disease doesn't just affect someone else It affects families, friends, coworkers, and communities. It can change a life in an instant.
Today, I'm honored to serve as the 2026 Acadiana Heart Walk Chair because I want to help create more second chances. By supporting the Heart Walk, we're investing in lifesaving research, education, prevention, and awareness that impact families throughout our community.
I'm grateful for the second chance I received, and that's why I'm committed to helping others have the same opportunity.
Thank you for joining me on this journey.
