For Brittany Holliday, MBA, supporting the American Heart Association is more than a cause, it's personal. A Senior Program Manager at Amazon and member of the Amazon Women Selling Partner Services philanthropic group, Brittany was inspired to launch her Leaders of Impact campaign after witnessing her father's battle with cardiovascular disease and subsequent open-heart surgery in December 2025. His survival story became a wake-up call for her entire family, prompting important conversations, screenings, and a renewed commitment to heart health. As Brittany continues learning about her own cardiovascular health journey, she is determined to help others understand that heart disease does not discriminate. Through education, awareness, and advocacy, she hopes to remove barriers to conversation and encourage people to take proactive steps through healthier lifestyles, nutrition, exercise, and routine care. Nominated by Heart Ball Executive Leadership Team Chair Eduardo Ortiz following her service on the 2026 ELT, Brittany is channeling her passion into action to fund the American Heart Association's lifesaving mission. By supporting Brittany's campaign, donors are helping advance critical research, improve health outcomes, and empower more families to prevent, treat, and survive heart disease and stroke.
Despite many advances, cardiovascular disease is still the No. 1 killer in the US. Furthermore, millions of people across the country face a higher risk of heart disease because they lack access to basic needs like healthy food, clean air and drinking water, quality education, employment and safe housing.
