Executives with Heart unites top local leaders around one goal: ensuring one person in every household is ready to save a life with CPR. While 61% of people are unsure of what to do in a cardiac emergency, these leaders are working to change that. They’re leading by example through donating, rallying their networks to do the same, and spreading lifesaving CPR education, all leading up to a celebration at the Heart Walk.
On September 16th my beloved aunt passed away from a heart attack at the young age of 45. She was the light and sunshine in everyone's life. She had been experiencing symptoms that went untreated. Her artery was almost 100% occluded at the time of her heart attack. I will be running to raise awareness for heart disease in women that so often goes unchecked or is dismissed. I run to honor her memory and maybe just help to prevent another family from losing the light of their lives.
