These last few months have been a bit of a rollercoaster; a-fib, conversion, a-fib, conversion, and finally, an ablation that, I hope, will end my a-fibs for many years.
About eight or nine years ago, I was judged to not be a good candidate for an ablation, but thanks to research, more was learned about which sites to ablate, and the equipment also advanced. (It now includes sensory feedback to the doctor that allows the doc to sense how hard the catheter head is pressing against the heart wall, so the risk of a puncture is now below minimal, but also, it lets the doc know that there is enough pressure to do the ablation properly.
I love research that produces actionable results, and I love advances in the technology, too. But they cost a lot of money. That's why I am asking you to help fund that research and those tech advances.
