When is the Heart Mini? Sunday, March 28th, 2021
 
Where is the Heart Mini? Run or walk where you are? Do you have a favorite walking trail or one you would like to check out? This is a great opportunity to explore your neighborhood with your family and furry friends! Please do NOT run our normal course on Columbia Parkway- we will not have road closures or police there to block traffic!
 
Should I still register? Yes! We are striving to have the biggest Heart Mini ever, so please register on heartmini.org. Registering here allows you to maximize your impact by recruiting others to join and donate to your efforts. Registration closes on Friday, March 26th at 5PM.
 
How do I enter my race results? Use the RTRT app to track your run with live audio prompts! If you aren't able to download the app, you can run with Strava or manually enter your results here. You'll be able to run with the app from Saturday, March 20th- Saturday, April 3rd. If you have any issues with the RTRT app, please email info@racepenguin.com or visit the RTRT FAQ's page. The leaderboard can be found here! It automatically defaults to the 1K, so you will just need to navigate through the different races on the right-hand side.
 
Why didn't I receive a medal? We actually had to place a reorder of medals, due to the amazing but unexpected turnout we had this year. We will have them available for pickup at our office the week of April 12th from 9am-5pm each weekday. Our office is located at 5211 Madison Rd Cincinnati, OH 45227. Not able to pickup those dates & times? Email katie.flaspohler@heart.org to make other arrangements. 
 
What do I do if I registered more than one person with the same email address? If you registered more than one person with an email address and plan to use the RTRT app, you will need to either: send katie.flaspohler@heart.org an updated email address to claim your race profile or each participant will need to go to the RTRT app and create a profile (using their actual email), search for their name and click claim. The person who registered everyone will then get a message from RTRT and will have to approve the claim request (since the Profile is under their email).
 
How do I receive my shirt/medal/bib? All participants registered on or prior to February 28th will have their shirts, medals, bibs and red caps (for survivors) mailed to them and will receive prior to the Heart Mini. Anyone who registers on March 1st or after will also have their items mailed but may not receive prior to the Heart Mini event date. 
 
What does the Heart Mini Digital Experience look like? The #MiniMyWay experience is all encompassing and allows you to be involved in the Heart Mini anywhere! It is your chance to get moving, honor survivors, and raise lifesaving funds from anywhere. Here are a few exciting facts about this year's Heart Mini!
  • Our new activity tracker allows you to get moving and participate in movement challenges on our mobile app.
  • The app also making it easier than ever to connect, share and raise critical funds. 
  • You have the chance to earn awesome Heart Walk gear and rewards like caps, shirts, jackets and more. 
  • This campaign allows you to be creative, move wherever you are, any way you want- include your family too! 
 
How do I show that I'm participating? First be sure to go to heartmini.org to start or join a team, or participate all on your own! Then share your photos and videos using the hashtag #MiniMyWay and follow us @theheartmini on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We will have fun activities and challenges starting in January through the day of the event!  
 
Since the event is digital, are you still fundraising? Yes, the American Heart Association is still raising funds to fight heart disease and stroke! Our survivors and their families are counting on us more than ever and we are counting on YOU and your support through the Heart Mini to continue funding our critical mission. 
 
Where can I send donations? This year, online donations are preferred. If you have donations that you can't donate online, please mail to the local AHA office at 5211 Madison Road Cincinnati, OH 45227 ATTN: Heart Mini. Checks can also be easily scanned digitally into your Heart Walk app. **Note: mailing cash is not advised, please only mail checks or money orders. Be sure to include your full name and/or team name inside the envelope so that we can credit your efforts. 
 
Do I still get a t-shirt? Yes- all registered participants will receive a Heart Mini t-shirt, medal and bib! If your company raises over $5,000 and has 15 or more people registered on or by Feburary 28th, your shirt will have your company's custom logo. 
 
What if it rains? The Heart Mini is rain or shine. Grab an umbrella and enjoy spring weather in Cincinnati.
