Why We Walk
2021 Greater Washington Region Heart Walk
Personally I lost my two youngest brothers at the ages of 43 and 44 due to heart attacks. My mom's passing started with a heart attack and ended with renal failure. I have known friends and co-workers over the years that have suffered strokes and heart attacks. I walk to raise awareness about heart disease. But I also walk to show my nieces and nephews, friends and family that there is something WE can do to improve our health. Walking is EXERCISE. It is good for you and to you. Who will you walk for?
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide and stroke ranks second globally. Please join our team or donate today and help us change this statistic.
