Why We Walk
2022 Capital Area Heart Walk
Charles P. Adams Alumni of Greater Baton Rouge
Dr. Leola Robertson Scott was the first born of Leonard and Doretha Robertson of Jeanerette. She graduated Jeanerette Colored High School and attended Grambling College at the age of 15. Grambling provided her fundamental background of knowledge & intellectual capacity for further studies. She acquired her professional ethics and values that were exhibited by her professors. She really appreciated the professors dressed and mimicked the styles in her attire. She wanted her hat, shoes, gloves, and dresses to match at all times and made that a part of her professional experience. Dr. Scott always repeated what President Jones said: "Everyone is somebody!” and she made that one of her mantras.
We ask for your support as The Charles P. Adams Alumni Chapter of Greater Baton Rouge fundraise for this worthy organization on behalf of our very own Leola Robertson, or Doc as she was affectionally known. No donation is tobig or to small.
We’re walking for our health and yours. For our parents, our children and our grandchildren. Who will you walk for?
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide and stroke ranks second globally. Please join our team or donate today and help us change this statistic.
The Heart Walk is a time of celebration, joy and inspiration. People unified in support of a single goal: to see a world free of heart disease and stroke.
Be a Heart Walk Hero with us and together we’ll help save lives.
