On February 25, 2022 I woke up to extreme chest pain. Initially I thought it was a muscle cramp from having lifted weights the day before. I could not get the pain to go away and finally woke my wife so we could go to the emergency room.
After a couple of tests, they confirmed I was having a heart attack, and called for an ambulance to take me to Abbott Northwestern Hospital where they implanted a stent in my heart. Thirty six hours from the time I woke with chest pains, I was home recovering.
Needless to say, this years Heart Walk means so much more to me this year! I am so happy to be alive so I can participate.
