Rollie Pollie Ollies
I, Olivia, was born with Pulmonary Valve Stenosis and Atrial Septal Defect in September of 1996. By the end of October 1996, I had undergone a valvuloplasty to open up my valve and was told I would have repeat surgeries multiple times. After I turned 2, my family created the team Olivia's Pals.
By age 6, my numbers started to get better and I saw the cardiologist less and less. I have been fortunate to have been under the care of Cincinnati Children's and now their Adult Congential Heart Disease team.
In March of 2021, my sister Lauren passed away from a brain aneurysm. She was an organ donor, a decision I hope everyone makes, and during testing to ensure matches they discovered she had Left Ventricular Hypertrophy, most likely from high blood pressure.
When I was 18, I took over the team from Lauren and she suggested a name change since I was older, one of which being "Rollie Pollie Ollies" and so with her passing I believed the name change was in order.
